Looking Back, Moving Forward: Celebrating the PracticeWise Journey

Team putting their hands together. Join the PracticeWise team.

September 15 marks another year for PracticeWise. It is a milestone that invites us to pause, not just to celebrate, but to reflect on what has been accomplished and to recognize the work still ahead.

A Vision That Took Shape

When PracticeWise began, the idea was simple but ambitious. Connect people and knowledge so providers could do what matters most for youth and families. Over the years, that vision has taken shape in ways we could not have imagined at the start.

Building Tools That Matter

One of the most meaningful accomplishments has been the development of Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP). MAP gives providers a flexible, evidence-informed system that supports decision making throughout the course of care. A core part of MAP is the PracticeWise Evidence-Based Services Database (PWEBS), which organizes decades of research into treatment elements and makes that knowledge usable for providers in their daily work. MATCH, a modular treatment program for anxiety, depression, trauma, and conduct problems, reflects the same philosophy by offering structured yet adaptable guidance that helps providers deliver care with confidence. Together these resources show what it means to take research and turn it into practical tools that support youth and families.

What makes these resources meaningful is not only the strength of the evidence behind them, but also the way providers, supervisors, and agencies use them in practice. Providers bring them into sessions with youth and families, supervisors use them to guide training and consultation, and agencies adopt them to create a common language and shared approach to care. This has allowed MAP and its components to support thousands of professionals across many different contexts.

Expanding Training and Support

Over the years we have continued to build on this foundation. We have expanded training opportunities, offered continuing education, and provided supervision models that strengthen entire systems of care. We have listened to providers, supervisors, and agencies, adapting our offerings to support their day-to-day work. Most recently, our On-Demand Learning has opened new doors for self-paced access to training, and new courses are on the horizon.

The Impact

What matters most is not just the resources but the impact. Providers are better equipped. Agencies are more aligned. Families are finding support that makes a real difference. Every success story reinforces why this work is worth doing.

Looking Ahead

And yet there is still more ahead. Many families still wait too long for effective help. Many providers still carry heavy workloads with limited resources. Systems continue to evolve, and with them come new challenges and opportunities. Our role is to keep learning, keep refining, and keep finding ways to make evidence-informed care more usable, scalable, and sustainable.

This milestone is not about looking back with finality. It is about honoring the progress, the people, and the partnerships that have brought us here while recognizing that the mission continues. PracticeWise was built to grow, adapt, and serve. That is exactly what we will keep doing.

To our founders, our team, our partners, and everyone who has believed in this work, thank you. Here is to another year of connection, progress, and meaningful impact for the youth and families we serve.
