How Does MATCH-ADTC Work?

MATCH-ADTC Combines 33 Procedures Drawn From the Most Successful Evidence-Based Treatments Into a Single, Flexible System.

Users start by selecting the primary clinical target area for treatment: anxiety, depression, trauma, or conduct. The MATCH-ADTC protocol then guides providers through well-organized resources to address the primary clinical target while deftly responding to a diverse array of therapeutic roadblocks, such as comorbid problems or unexpected life stressors.

Supervisor Training Overview

The MATCH Supervision and Consultation Training Series teaches MATCH Therapists to provide supervision and consultation to other professionals using the MATCH system. The program’s primary aims are for professionals to acquire proficiency in (a) developing direct service professionals using the MATCH Direct Services curriculum, (b) improving the processes of direct service, and (c) delivering supervision and consultation services using the MATCH system.

PATH TO CERTIFICATION INCLUDES:

MATCH Supervisor Learning Objectives:

  1. Provide a high-level description of MATCH in the context of direct service to clients.
  2. Describe at least three characteristics of a successful MATCH Agency Supervisor.
  3. Guide a supervisee’s clinical reasoning process using the MATCH Roadmap resource.
  4. Define model integrity for MATCH and apply its principles to make judgments about treatment focus and therapy module selection.
  5. Identify at least seven strategies for enhancing instruction to supervisees to facilitate acquisition of new skills and processes.
  6. Design effective rehearsal exercises for skill building using the SKIT framework.
  7. Demonstrate skill with a modular, evidence-based treatment for anxiety, depression, traumatic stress, and conduct problems to deliver this program with integrity to the MATCH model for improved client outcomes.
  8. Make empirically-informed adaptations to practice that are responsive to real-time information about progress.
  9. Demonstrate persistence in the pursuit of a prioritized treatment target, when necessary adapting to critical distraction or disengagement by shifting from a planned activity to a circumscribed response that addresses obstacles in order to return to the core target as soon as possible.
  1. Facilitate continuous improvement of direct and supervisory services within an organization by identifying process improvement strategies.
  2. Apply the MATCH concepts, processes, and practice tools as part of supervision and consultation services to improve client outcomes.
  3. Prepare supervisees to learn the MATCH model.
  4. Set goals and advise supervisees regarding their professional development.
  5. Monitor key questions or decisions by gathering and interpreting relevant information, including via the use of the primary MATCH resources.
  6. Evaluate supervisee experience and expertise with the Therapist Portfolio.
  7. Promote a service environment that supports implementation and generalization of MATCH in an organization.
